See historical potteries and make your own ceramics
For children up to 6 years: Departure at 9am from the center of Marrakech to Ourika Valley. You will see the beautiful green valley with typical Berber villages. After a 1 hour drive, we will visit an Amazigh/Berber museum and learn more about their history. Look at old pottery and ceramics and be inspired by the ancient design. Afterwards, we will have a short tea break. A professional potter will explain how to work at the potter's wheel, and then you can try to make your own pottery. After about 2 hours we will drive to the beautiful restaurant "bio-aromatique garden" where we will have lunch. There we will spend the afternoon and have the opportunity to get to know some of the famous plants. Then we will make our way back to Marrakech. Extra: We can fire and glaze your pottery and send it to your home by mail in a few weeks. (ask for the price of shipping).

Cook you own Tajine and make a tasty Berber brad
For children up to 5 years: Departure at 9am from the center of Marrakech to Ourika Valley. You will see the beautiful green valley with typical Berber villages. On the way we will stop to buy everything we need for a tajine. After 1,5 hours drive we arrive in our village Amlougui. There we first have a Moroccan tea, then we start to prepare the tajine. In the meantime, while the tajine is cooking on the fire, we learn how to make the typical Berber bread. After about 1.5 hours, the bread and the tajine are ready to be enjoyed. After lunch you can visit the kindergarten, our animals or take a walk through the village. Then we walk 20 minutes towards Ourika valley where our car will take you back to Marrakech.

Learn how to make a carpet and try yourself.
For children up to 6 years: Departure at 9 am from the center of Marrakech to the Ourika Valley. On the way you will see the beautiful green valley with typical Berber villages. After a 1-hour drive, we will visit a Berber museum and learn more about the history of the Berbers. Look at old beautiful pottery and carpets and be inspired by their design. We will continue to the village of Amlougui where we will have lunch at our family's guest house. Afterwards we will visit the carpet workshop where you can learn how to weave a carpet. You will have the opportunity to weave your own. If you have some interest and patience, you can knot/weave your own little piece and take it home. On the way to the car we will visit the kindergarten. Finally we will drive you back to Marrakech in the late afternoon.

Ride on mules, feed animals, meet the locals and pic nic together.
For children from 4 years: Departure at 9am from the center of Marrakech to the Ourika Valley. On the way you will follow the Ourika river and enjoy the green valley with typical Berber villages. After 1,5 hours drive we will meet our mules which we can ride or lead and we will start our mule trek. First we will follow the path along the river until the village of Amlougui. Then we continue on a mule trail until we reach the Azib of Agounce, where you can meet the locals doing their daily work. In the shade of a walnut tree, we unsaddle the animals, let them eat some grass and water them at the stream. We ourselves build a fire for our picnic. After lunch break, we will return on the goat path. You can see the cultivated terraces and have a beautiful view of the village of Ait Barka with a great view of the mountains and the green valley of Ourika. After that we will take our transport to Marrakech.
