Tangier - Chefchaouen - Volubilis - fès - Ifrane - Merzouga - Sahara desert - DADES/TODRA GORGES - Ouarzazate - HIGH ATLAS - MARRAKSCH

Day 1: 120km, 2.3h Tangier - Chefchaoun Departure from Tangier depend on your arriving. Then we start with our desert tour to Marrakech via the Sahara Desert. If possible we go for a short visit in the city. Then we drive towards Chefchaouen admiring the amazing landscapes provided by the Rif Mountains. Overnight in a typical Moroccan Riad in Chefchaouen.

Day 2: 200km, 4.3h Chefchaoun - Volubilis - Fès Our journey will continues to Fès. On the way to Fès we will enjoy the varied landscape, between forests, fields and berber villages. After this entertaining drive we will go and visit Volubilis, which was inhabited during the Neolithic Period, occupied by the Carthaginians and then by the Romans. At this historical place you will have a local guide to discover the house of Orpheus, the house of Dionysus and others. After this visit we continue on to Fès where you stay overnight in a beautiful Riad in the old Medina.

Day 3: Fès - City tour Fès, the oldest of the imperial cities, which was for centuries the cultural and religious center of the Muslim West. Explore the medina and its souks with a local guide, the Medersa Bou Inania or the Attica. Medersa Bou Inania or Attarine, then the square Nejarine with its magnificent fountain decorated with mosaics. Lunch in a restaurant palace in the medina. Visit to the Museum of Popular Art Bathha, the Royal Palace and the tombs Mérinides, from where we have a view of the city and its ramparts.

Day 4: 480km, 7.3h Fès - Todra gorges - Dades valley - Merzouga Your journey to the golden sand dunes of Merzouga will begin in the early morning. The drive today will be a long one. First we drive into the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through many quaint and charming hill-top towns and villages along the way. You might be lucky to see some Barbary Apes in the cedar forests here! We will continue to cross the pre-Saharan plateau, passing the peaks of Jebel Ayachi and Errachidia through the Ziz Valley where you can take some beautiful pictures in the Ziz Gorge. As evening approaches, we will Merzouga, here we offer you to ride on Camels in to the desert camp ore we drive you to the golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. In the cam we have dinner and enjoy some music from the locals.

Day 5: 370km, 5.15h Merzouga - Todra gorges - Dades valley - Ouarzazate Wake up early and climb the sand dunes to watch the beautiful sunrise. Then we pack-up the camels and trek back, where you will shower and breakfast at the hotel. Now we will drive on in the direction of Ouarzazate via Rissani, where you can stop and visit its Traditional Souks which is considered the largest in southern Morocco. Continue through the beautiful Dades Valley through the Todgha Gorges, with its thousand palm trees. In the evening we arrive in Ouarzazate and check into a great hotel.

Day 6: 200km, 4h Ouarzazate - High Atlas - Marrakesch Today you will have the chance to explore some of the most interesting historical Kasbahs of Morocco. We will pass through the town of El Kelad Mgouna where is known by it’s Rose festival. We drive through the palm grove of Skoura and the Valley of Roses. You can visit the cinema studio or the museum. Then we will continue to the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which has been classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage site since 1987. It has also been used as a filming location for many films and television shows, including Game of Thrones, Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia and many more. We continue our journey to Marrakech through the windy road of the High Atlas Mountains to see the highest pass in Morocco, the Tizi n Tichka Pass (2,260 m altitude). Finally we will arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
