A short trip in silence and a spectacular view

2 days / 1night ** medium hiking

Day 1: 6h hike, 14 km, 800m ▲: Departure from Imintadart hiking to the Yagour plateau by the village of Wiygran (1500m) and zigzagging through the palmina up to the crete, there will have a spectacular view toward the Grand Canyon of the Atlas and to the villages of Acheg. Up there will have a picnic under an old juniper tree, after we will continue easily steadily up to the plateau to set up our bivouac by the sheepfolds of Abdouz. Enjoy the meal and the quiet of the night.

Day 2: 4h hike, 10km, 1000m ▼: Descent from the plateau through the canyon of yagour, passage and cross the villages and terraced crops. Return to Tazitount and lunch by the bank of the river and build a dam or stone towers. Transfer to Marrakech or spend an extra night in Amlougui house.

3 days / 2 nights ** medium hiking

Day 1: 5h hike, 6km, 400m ▲ Departure on foot from the Tazitount bridge to the village of Tizi village via Anamer. Lunch at a families home in Tizi. We will visit the village, the irrigation system and have dinner by a local family. In the evening after eating we have the chance to listen to some music and stay over night.

Day 2: 6h hike, 8km, 700m ▲ Departure from the family, climb to the Yagour plateau in 3 hours, there we have a our a strengthening pick nick, then we will continue for 1 hour walk to reach the bivouac. After e littel siesta we start to search the rock engravings. We imagine and study the meaning of the symbols. By sunset we will dinner and enjoy the music of the locals. Stay over night in tent.

Day 3: 4h hike, 10km, 900m ▼ Decent from the yagour plateau via Imaoun Ighzan, then we hike down through the Acheg villages and their agriculture terraces to come back to the main road of the valley. By the river of Ourika we have lunch and some time to relax. From there you get back to Marrakesch or stay over night in the guest house of our family in Amlougui.

4 days / 3 nights** medium hiking

Day 1: 5h hike, 6 km, 400m ▲: Departure from Imi Ntadart, hiking to the Yagour plateau by the Wiygran crete. Meal on the plateau followed by a siesta! We will cook together and make our tea with wilde herbes. After dinner we make a fire. Bivouac in tent or outside.

Day 2: 5h hike, 14km, 300m ▲: To day we will cross by the lake of Ifard, watch the eagle, discovery the rock engraving and climb to the Yagour plateau. By the cliff you will have a overlook the plains and more fare. Here we have lunch. After this brake we cross the highest part of the plateau 2700m. There we will bring up our tents. Now its your time to study the stone carvings. After all we go back to the tents, where we have dinner and sit later on by the fire. If the nights is clear we will see thousands of stars and think of some wishes.

Day 3: 4,5h hike, 10km, 900m ▼: Descent from the Yagour plateau via the zigzagging way of Tizi n'Oughré ridge. From there you have an incredible view to the surrounding mountains and the different colors and oxidations. Maybe you have the great chance to watch eagles and even wild pigs. Then we go through Tachmcht valley and crossing the terraced crops. Lunch under the walnut tree and continue to Tizi village to stay over night by a Berber family. After dinner you get to know live Amazigh music and you join them by singing or drumming together.

Day 4: 2h, 7km, 400m ▼: After a late breakfast we hike down through the Acheg villages and their agriculture terraces to come back to the main road of the valley. By the river of Ourika we have lunch and some time to relax. From there you get back to Marrakesch or stay over night in the guest house of our family in Amlougui.

Hiking the highlights of the Atlas mountains

5 days / 4 nights *** sporty hiking

Day 1: 6h hike, 16km, 1000m ▲: Departure on foot from the Tazitount bridge to the Yagour plateau by the passing through the Aït Oucheg villages and the Yagour waterfalls. Arrival on the Agdal Nirkan plateau and bivouac by Terar-Min N'isli at 2100m.

Day 2: 6h hike, 18km, 300m ▲ 500m ▼: After a good breakfast we will hike over a beautiful pass to the Ifard lake at 2400m and descend to the village of Aït N'Inzal. Bivouac at the Tizi N'Iszlefn pass at 1900m altitude

Day 3: 5h hike, 14km, 800m ▲: Climb to the Yagour high plateau at 2700m. Lunch will be served under a little rocky cliff overlooking the plains. Then we will cross the high and big flat area of the plateau, there we will finde the stone engravings and be impressed by how good they still look. Later on we bring up our Bivouac and stay overnight in peace.

Day 4: 4,5h hike, 10km, 900m ▼: Descent from the Yagour plateau via the Tizi n'Oughré ridge there we will have a possibility to see the aigles and maybe wild boar, passing through the Tahmcht valley and crossing agriculture terraces of crops, Lunch under the walnut, and continue to Tizi village to stay overnight with a Berber family with a possibility of hearing some Berber music.

Day 5: 2h hike, 7km, 400m ▼: After breakfast descend through the villages of Ait oucheg towards the valley again with a beautiful memories lunch by the river, there we will say goodbye for the crew and pick you up to Marrakech or stay one more night in Amlougui house.

A dream of every hiker

5 days / 4 nights *** sporty hiking

Day 1: 6h hike, 16km, 1000m ▲ Departure from the Tazitount bridge to the Yagour plateau via the Aït Oucheg villages which is usually busy with locals, doing their daily work. Then we keep crossing the villages and the Yagour waterfalls through a Gorge of sedimentary layers, after then will be up in the beginning of the first part of the plateau, heading to Asif Mloul near the sheepfolds at the foot of Mount Meldsen, where we will spend the night at the bivouac.

Day 2: 6h hike, 12km, 2600m ▲ Early breakfast and departure for a challenging trek to the summit of Meldsen (3600m) where the surrounding landscapes are breathtaking with stunning views in all directions from the Sahara to the Adrar Idern (Atlas) range then we go back down steadily to our base camp and spend the night at the bivouac.

Day 3: 4h hike, 13km, 400m ▲ After breakfast, today our path will be most of the time rocky, we will pass by the lac of Iferd, if it’s not dry we will have a chance to watch some birds, like Falcons and Thekla Lark and Black wheatear. We continue our hike up to the highest part of the Yagour plateau at 2700m. Lunch will be served under a little rocky cliff overlooking the plains. Then we will cross the high and big flat area of the plateau, there we will finde the stone engravings and be impressed by how good they still look. Later on we bring up our Bivouac and stay overnight in peace.
