Toubkal, 2 days / 1 nights
Toubkal is the highest mountain in North Africa with a breathtaking view.
Day 1: 5h hike, 12 km, 1200m ▲: Departure from Imlil, where our hike begins. We walk through the Mizane valley, passing the village of Aremd towards the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch. Heading east, we cross the former flood plain and walk steadily uphill on mule tracks where the high rock walls rise above the valley. After crossing the river, we finally reach the white holy shrine of Sidi Chamarouch, which attracts tourists and pilgrims. There we will get the story of the withe shrine and get to know different medicinal plants, especially juniper.From here the trail climbs steadily, winding its way up to the snow line and the refuge at 3206m. There we will spend the night and enjoy our dinner. Before going to bed we get everything ready for the very early ascent.
Day 2: 10 h hike, 22km, 970m ▲/2270m ▼: Rise at 4am for the ascent of Djebel Toubkal at 4167m. You can have a little breakfast before we start to hike up to the peak. After about 3.5 h we will reach the top of Toubkal. Here you will enjoy the incredible view while we will have our pick nic and who feel like can build a stone tower on the top of the highest mountain of north Africa. After this break we will return back, first to the refuge and then back to the village of Imllil. Here we say goodby and ope you will join us again.
Ait Bougmez - M'Goun, 5 days / 4 nights
Ait Bougmez, so called the valley of happiness. A impressing hike with mules, tents and some unforgetable moments.
Day 1: 3.5h hike, 8 km, 500m ▲: Pick up 8am in Marrakech city. 4,5 h drive to Ait Bougmez, village of Larous. Lunch in Agouti. In the afternoon we will walk up to Ikis N'Laros and explore a beautiful landscape, far from the busy day live. Now we have some time to rest and help to take care of the moules and the cooking. After dinner we set up a fire where we sing with the Amazigh their songs and sleep in tent at 2200m.
Day 2: 6h hike, 12 km, 1200m ▲/400m ▼: Departure from Ikis N'Laros to the Talgdit plateau by the Tizi Noughri Pass at 3320m Alt. After this intensive hiking we fix dinner and if you feel like you can help us to cook. After all you will have a very good deep sleep.
Day 3: 10h hike, 20 km, 1080m ▲/380m ▼: Rise at 4am for the ascent of the M'Goun summit at 4080m where you will have a great view in to the different valleys and a great look to the beautiful mountains, then we walk via the ridge. Nice descent to Olilimt. For the one how still have enough energie, you are wellcom to help by cooking ore feeding the mules or make a fire. Bivouac at 2700m.
Day 4: 5h hike, 15 km, 400m ▼: Descent through the valley of M'Goun by Tigharmt N'Ait Hamd. Meeting with the nomads. When we arrive by our tents, we can search for some nature stuff and design a Madala with everthing we will finde in nature. Beautiful land art will show up. Now we have a nice dinner all together. Bivouac at 2300m with a good relaxing sleep in our tents.
Day 5: 6h hike, 15 km, 700m ▲: Departure to Ait Bougmez by the Tizi N'Ait Imi pass at 3000m of Alt. Return to Marrakech by visiting the waterfalls of Ouzoudn on the way back..
