Walk in to a typical Amazigh / Berber village

Hike up to Amlougui, see the agriculture terraces and have lunch at our family home. *easy hike

1h, 4km, 50m▲: Departure at 9am from Marrakesch center, to Ourika valley. On the way you will follow the river of Ourika and enjoy the green valley with the typical berber villages. After 1,5h of driving we will get to the place where we start with our little hiking. First we follow the track that passes by the river until the village of Amlougui. Then we walk up between our fruit tree plantations where we see the irrigation system of Amlougui. After this littel walk we get to the small village of Ait Berka where we have a wonderful view of the Ourika valley and Setti Fatma. Then we will return back to our family home because there is a tasty Tajine waiting you. After lunch you have some time to relax or go and see the kinder garden ore the women cooperation and see how they make ther carpets. In the later afternoon we walk down for about 20 minutes to catch our transport to Marrakesch.

Hike into the Atlas, explore the area, meet the locals and hike up to an azib.

4h, 10km, 300▲: Departure at 9am from Marrakesch center, to Ourika valley. On the way up you will see the beautiful green valley with the typical berber villages. After 1,5h of driving we will start with our hiking. First we follow the track that passes by the river until the village of Amlougui. Then we continue on a mule track to the busy village of Tourcht, wehre you can meet the local people by doing their daily work. Then we go along the river and agriculture terraces. There you have a sip of fresh clean water of a source and then we hike up through the fields where you can see the irrigation system. Pick nic under the walnut trees with a tasty moroccan tea cooked on the fire. After lunch we return back by the road at Ait Berka, where you have the chance to see an old cave. We continue with a great view to the valley and the beautiful mountains. By the river of Ourika our transport is waiting you. We say goodby to and hope you enjoyed the day with us.

See the waterfalls of Setti Fadma and have lunch by our family. **medium hike

2,5 h, 8km, 150▲: Departure at 9am from Marrakesch center, to Setti Fadma. On the way you will see the beautiful green Ourika valley with the typical berber villages. By Setti Fadma your guide will wait you and walk with you up to the waterfalls. It is basically not a difficult tour but nevertheless there are passages where you need a helping hand. You can enjoy the fresh and cool air and have a tea or orange jus by the first waterfall. After the break we go back to Setti Fadma and take a little trail up to the village of Ait Berka where you have a great view over the valley and the mountains. On the way to Amlougui we will see the irrigation of their agriculture and the different fruit trees. After 45 minutes we will be at the guesthouse of family Essoussy. There we enjoy a tasty Tajine. After this good pause we return to the main road, 20 minutes to meet our transport to Marrakesch.
